At Piedmont Medical Center’s emergency room, our mission is to provide rapid care in a comforting and informed environment. Our advanced emergency department is complete with all the equipment and services a patient may need in a medical crisis, no mater the medical emergency. The workflows in Piedmont Medical Center’s are closely monitored so that each patient can access emergency healthcare services promptly.

To further enhance the look and feel of our emergency department and to ensure timely delivery of quality healthcare services, we have recently invested $20 million on its renovation.

This generous patient-focused investment has added the following amenities to our emergency department::

• A brand-new, expanded waiting room
• Spacious workstations for ancillary and ED staff
• A safe and comforting environment for patients with psychiatric issues
• Increased capacity to entertain more patients
• 20 percent increase in staff dedicated to provide emergency services

Our emergency department addresses the healthcare issues of more than 70,000 individuals in 2013 alone. In order to efficiently manage this growing patient volume and to decrease turnaround time for emergency care, Piedmont Medical Center has made significant changes to the system and processes.
