Chemotherapy and Surgical Care

Cancer Support Services

Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be a difficult time for a patient and their family. At Piedmont Medical Center, we believe that quality cancer care involves addressing issues beyond the scope of conventional cancer care. We aim to support patients throughout their journey, from cancer diagnosis through to treatment, recovery, and survival.

Support Groups

The support programs provide patients and their families connect with each other and share their experiences. These support groups provide the emotional support and knowledge a patient needs to confidently conquer cancer.

• Knit Chicks – A group for cancer survivors who love knitting and crocheting.
• Look Good Feel Better – A program aimed at helping women undergoing cancer treatment combat side effects of cancer treatment.
• Seeds of Hope – A resource room for patients and their families where they can read and research or simply spend time in a comforting environment.
• New Attitude Room – A program to provide cancer patients access to wigs, scarves, hats, etc., free of charge.
