Dan Bowen named Market Chief Operating Officer for Piedmont Medical Center

ROCK HILL, S.C. ― Piedmont Medical Center is proud to announce Dan Bowen as the Market Chief Operating Officer. Dan will oversee the day-to-day operations of Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill and Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill. In this role, he will work closely with Piedmont’s leadership team to drive efficiency across all platforms of the market to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

With more than 23 years of leadership experience, Dan Bowen, a retired United States Air Force Officer, recently comes from Cape Canaveral Hospital (CCH) in Florida as its Vice President and Hospital Administrator. In his role at CCH, Dan was responsible for all aspects of hospital clinical and non-clinical operations. He also had responsibility for Health First’s four emergency departments in Brevard County Florida. In his years of leadership at various hospitals and organizations, Dan implemented innovative strategies to turn underperforming operations around, creating better outcomes for the patients and staff in a cost-effective manner. Dan also led the Air Force’s largest medical logistics operation at David Grant Medical Center in Travis AFB, California. Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, his Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
